Introduction
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is an international organization of men whose Cardinal Principles are Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. The Kappa Tau Chapter, located in Canton, Ohio, is accepting applications for a college scholarship in keeping with the principle of Scholarship. Desired applicants are African American students in this year's graduating class who reside in Stark County, have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above, and plan to attend college. Applicants will be evaluated based on GPA, demonstrated leadership ability, community involvement, and two recommendation letters. There may also be a personal interview with the Scholarship Committee.

To qualify, all applicants must apply online and complete their application by the deadline.
A completed application includes the following items:
- Scholarship Application (to be completed by the student)
- One (1) Counselor Form (sent on the student's behalf to be completed by their counselor)
- Two (2) Evaluation Forms/Recommendation Letters (sent on the student's behalf to be completed by their references)
